OUR HISTORY
The GESG was born in May 1987, as a response from local citizens to the rapid environmental deterioration of the Sierra Gorda bioregion on a variety of fronts. Our mandate began with environmental education and reforestation. Since then our work has grown and expanded to become a reference point for regenerative movements. Our varied environmental initiatives have garnered a long list of top-level national and international recognitions.
