Since its inception, GESG has woven a network of alliances at all three levels of government, collaborating with the authorities in charge and designing and providing guidance for public policies with sustainability criteria. Our longevity allows us to build bridges with different administrations.

GESG counts on a long list of national and international private sector allies and partners.  In its inception ASHOKA, Inter-American Foundation, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and Nacional Monte de Piedad I.A.P. were the first to show support in the 1990s and since then a variety of institutions, foundations, and individuals have generously joined our project.

Our longtime allies include forest landowners, homemakers, students, teachers, agricultural and livestock producers, micro-entrepreneurs, authorities and organized members of civil society, all of whom together protect the Sierra Gorda. They areinvolved in keeping our mountain region alive and diverse through projects like sanitation, reforestation, appropriationof best practices, protection and conservation.
